Cape Town – A new development in biological science is set to take the world by storm – Ecto Life is the world’s first artificial womb facility and can incubate up to 30 000 lab-grown babies a year.
According to a video by Ecto Life, the facility will be “powered entirely by renewable energy”, allowing infertile couples to conceive a baby and “become the true biological parents of their own offspring”.
“It’s a perfect solution for women who had their uterus surgically removed due to cancer or other complications,” Ecto Life added.
It also reportedly solves the issues of pre-mature births and c-sections. It’s also designed to help countries suffering from population decline.
The babies undergoing the various stages of fetal development will go through these phases in pods.
“Every pod is designed to replicate the exact conditions that exist inside the mother’s uterus.”

Adding to its list of benefits, Ecto Life revealed that the pods allows babies to develop in an “infection-free environment.
“The pods are made of materials that prevent germs from sticking to their surfaces.
“Every growth pods features sensors that can monitor your baby’s vital signs including heartbeat, temperature, blood pressure, breathing rate, and oxygen saturation.
“The artificial intelligence-based system also monitors the physical features of your baby and reports any potential genetic abnormalities,” Ecto Life added.
The development of the baby can also be tracked by users on their phones on the app that also provides users with a live feed of the baby’s development, with users having the ability to actually watch the growth of the baby.
