Cape Town – A man residing in Utah, America, shared his special collection: a hamburger from Mcdonald’s that he had bought on July 7, 1999.
He described it as “the world’s oldest hamburger”.
“I had a hamburger that I was using to show people about how things deteriorate,” David Whipple, the owner of the hamburger said.
He said that he had carried the burger around for about a month before it got stuck in a coat pocket which got thrown in the back of his van and from there he theorised that it had got hung up in a closet.
When he found the hamburger again, it was 14 years old. Since then, he kept the burger in a tin with its original packaging and its receipt that shows he had purchased the burger for $0.79.
Since he discovered the burger in his coat pocket, he had not opened it until the video was taken. To his and his daughter’s surprise, the hamburger looked in relevantly good condition.
