Cape Town – Police in California, United States of America (USA) reportedly, rushed to a zoo on Saturday, August 13, after a “mischievous” monkey dialled 911.
According to eNCA, the monkey dialled 911 and then hung up.
After receiving the call, San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies traced it to the offices of Zoo to You, a conservation park 320km north of Los Angeles.
Officers were sent to the zoo. However, when they arrived, they found no humans in distress.

According to the Daily Star, an investigation revealed that the call was made by a monkey named Route.
“Apparently, Route had picked up the zoo’s cellphone… which was in the zoo’s golf cart… which is used to travel around the zoo’s 40 acre site,” the report quoted a social media post by the sheriff’s office.
