Cape Town – A Chinese man allegedly abandoned a 5-year-old boy at kindergarten in Guangxi province, southern China, after discovering that the child was not his biological son.
According to South China Morning Post, the little boy, known in the media as “Xiao Rui”, enrolled in kindergarten in April of this year.
His father dropped him off and picked him up at the end of each school day.
However, last week, the father, told Xiao’s teacher that he did a partenity test and discovered that he was not his biological son.
He said that he wouldn’t come to fetch him from school that afternoon, as he was now the school’s problem.

New York Post reported that Xiao’s teacher contacted his relatives after no one arrived to fetch him but no one wanted to pick him up.
The teacher then visited Xiao’s home later and found it to be empty. His mother’s whereabouts were unknown.
Police were called to assist.
According to a Nanning Radio and Television Station news report, Xiao’s mother was expected to pick him up this week.
