Cape Town – A member of the German delegation escorting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on his official visit to South Africa reportedly suffered a medical emergency at the Union Buildings.
The German official had to be rushed out of proceedings at the Presidency on Tuesday morning.
According to News24, the German official appeared unstable on his feet before another member of the German delegation came to his aid and a medical team called.
The incident occurred immediately after the 21-gun salute by members of the SA National Defence Force which left the Union Buildings vicinity engulfed in smoke, the report said.
Breaking- An advisor who’s part of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s delegation on an official state visit to the Union Buildings has suffered a medical condition.
The advisor was unable to stand upright.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is hosting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on an official visit to the country, after visiting Senegal and Niger, reported eNCA.
The leaders were likely to discuss trade relations and tourism.
It is also likely that South Africa’s stance on the Ukraine-Russia conflict will come up, the report said.
