Cape Town – Canadian rapper, Drake, lost an estimated 600 000 dollars after betting on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid in their El Clasico clash on Sunday.
Real Madrid ended up victorious, beating the Catalan club by 3 goals to 1.
The rapper placed the bet after he announced that Barcelona would wear the OVO owl on their shirt for their El Clasico match.
“To celebrate being the first artist with 50 billion streams on @spotify, @FCBarcelona will wear the OVO owl at El Clasico on Sunday. This doesn’t feel real but it is,” Drake said in an Instagram post.

Unfortunately for the Canadian, goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo helped Real Madrid earn valuable three points that saw them end the weekend top of the LaLiga table.
In a two-fold bet of over $800 000, the rapper also put money on Arsenal who managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Leeds United, saving Drake from losing everything he bet.
