Cape Town – Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams couldn’t have asked for a better year after securing three nominations for the upcoming 2024 Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) awards.
Dominating both domestic and continental competitions, goalkeeper Williams is also in the running for the Yashin Trophy at next week’s Ballon d’Or Awards and is leading the online fan vote in the English-language section of the poll, IOL reported.
On Thursday, CAF released the names of the nominees for the 2024 CAF award and Williams’ name featured in three categories (men) – Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and InterClub Player of the Year category.
