Cape Town – South African rugby team, Springboks, has achieved one more accolade this year as three of its members, Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth and Lukhanyo Am have been named in French publication L’Equipe’s 2021 Team of the Year.
According to Sports24, the Springboks aren’t big on personal awards, but this recognition will please fans who were disappointed when no South African player was named in World Rugby’s 2021 Player of the Year shortlist.
Among others, the three athletes join Ireland rugby player Tadhg Furlong.
