According to This Citizen, Zuma’s speech is likely to cover broad organisational issues and the future trajectory of the MK party, including recent developments such as the defection of former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu and Mzwanele Manyi to the MK party, and the dismissal of ten MPs.
The MPs, who argue their sacking was to make room for the defectors, are seeking a court review of their removal and an injunction to prevent the swearing in of their replacements, the report said.
Despite a notable electoral performance, the MK party has struggled to maintain influence at both provincial and national levels.
