Cae Town – Leader of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party Jacob Zuma has dismissed Secretary-General Arthur Zwane for allegedly misleading the party.
According to SABC, MK Party member Phumlani Mfeka confirmed the news and the authenticity of a letter circulated about the dismissal.
Specific details regarding how Zwane misled the party have not been disclosed.
Times Live reported that Zuma’s dismissal letter stated that Zwane must fully comply with the decision and warned of potential expulsion.
“Furthermore, owing to your conduct in misleading the party, I reserve the right to expel you from the party with immediate effect,” Zuma’s letter said, according to the report.
Zwane had previously resigned from the position in June due to workload issues, but Zuma rejected his resignation.
