Cape Town – Former South African president Jacob Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, was sworn in as a new member of the Pan African Parliament (PAP) in Midrand on Monday.
Expressing excitement for her new role, she emphasised her passion for African unity and the significance of PAP in promoting a united African agenda.
“I am excited to take on this role because I have a passion for African unity. Being here is going to be kind of a driving force,” Zuma-Sambudla said.

In an interview with SABC News, she highlighted the importance of politicians from different parties coming together under PAP to advance Africa’s goals.
“The Pan African Parliament is very important. When we talk about African unity it starts with organisations like this.
“What makes me happy is that as much as we come here as different parties in this building, we are so united,” she said.

Zuma-Sambudla’s party the uMkhonto weSizwe Party, congratulated her on this achievement.
