Cape Town — Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) deputy leader Floyd Shivambu has expressed concern that Helen Zille of the Democratic Alliance (DA) has the ability to divide black political parties.
Shivambu was speaking at the memorial service of slain EFF member, Moshe Mphalele.
Shivambu said that Zille had succeeded in her mission as none of the parties were involved in any sort of coalition with each other.

Shivambu said black people should be concerned that Zille has the power to divide them as progressive forces and political movements.
“A person says that ‘I’m going to divide in order to rule them, I am not going to allow any agreement between the ANC, MK, EFF,’ because that will be what she calls doomsday. She sets an agenda of dividing the black majority, and then succeeds in doing so…
“We should think and discuss perpetually ourselves that why is it so easy to divide black people. Why is it so easy to sow divisions amongst ourselves as black political parties?,” said Shivambu.
We had the honour of paying tribute to Fighter Moshe Mphahlele, EFF Johannesburg Region’s Deputy Secretary and Councillor who was killed fighting for the right to housing by the homeless people of Alexandra. May his fighting spirit reignite activism amongst all Fighters. pic.twitter.com/fkDgKfBi2s
