Cape Town – South African billionaire businessman and Confederation of African Football (Caf) president, Patrice Motsepe has seemingly turned down the nomination to run for the ANC presidency position.
Last month, the party’s Limpopo branch reportedly nominated Motsepe to contest the position of president against President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The branch, which dubbed its campaign “Unity 2022”, believed Motsepe was the only candidate who was “not seen to be corrupt”, reported IOL.
But TimesLIVE reported on Friday that the businessman seemingly declined the nomination for the top position.
Motsepe would rather focus on issues that united South Africans, the report said.
