Cape Town – A police officer and a civilian have reportedly filed assault charges against each other following a physical altercation at a North West police station.
The fight, reportedly sparked by an argument at a Rustenburg mall barber shop, was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

The off-duty officer allegedly chased the civilian into the police station parking lot and assaulted him before on-duty officers intervened.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sam Tselanyane condemned the officer’s behaviour, calling it unacceptable and disrespectful to the rule of law.
An investigation is underway.
