Tshwane —The New mayor of Tshwane, Naisphi Moya, announced the list of 10 Members of the mayoral committee (MMCs) who will be tasked with turning the capital’s fortunes around.
Moya was elected mayor after beating out former mayor Cilliers Brink in a vote earlier this month. Brink was ousted following a motion of no confidence (MONC) by the African National Congress (ANC) and ActionSA.
In a statement, Moya announced her new cabinet on Sunday and explained that the new administration will also be accessible and responsive.
“Residents of Tshwane, today marks the end of that uncertainty as I announce the political executive that will be taking this city forward,” she said.
She added that the committee will be held accountable for its collective duty to serve the city and each member will perform their duties with diligence and integrity.
