Cape Town – EFF leader Julius Malema has criticised disloyal members of the party, particularly targeting former deputy president Floyd Shivambu, who recently resigned to join Jacob Zuma’s MK party.
Malema was delivering his speech at the Gauteng Provincial Ground Forces Forum held at Orlando Community Hall in Soweto on Monday evening.
He urged those who lack loyalty to leave the EFF immediately.
Malema announced Sinawo Thambo would replace Shivambu in Parliament and Marshall Dlamini would become the EFF’s chief whip.

Malema emphasised that the party remains intact and committed to its principles, despite recent departures.
He also called for members to defend the organisation actively and not be swayed by outside influences or personal gain.
Malema urged those unwilling to stand up for the EFF or who have sacrificed loyalty for personal gain to depart.
“Leave now. It is very painful to count the soldiers you do not have…. I am the one who was prepared to step aside [at GNU negotiations] to say Floyd Shivambu must be minister of finance. Today I am the one who went around seeking positions [to fill],” Malema said.
In what appeared to be a jab at Ndlozi, Malema remarked that some individuals were pursuing personal agendas with ambitions for positions ahead of the party’s elective conference in December.
“You are too busy after other resignations, popularising certain people that they must take over, yet they are silent when people decide to abandon you. Why can’t they choose you? Why do you keep on choosing the people who never choose you? When it is time for them to choose you, they are silent. They are choosing what looks like greener pastures. Many of them are opportunists because they want to see whether they will emerge in the upcoming third people’s assembly before they decide whether they will remain in the EFF or not.”
