Cape Town – Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema on Wednesday justified an altercation involving EFF members and a group of white men outside the party’s headquarters in Johannesburg.
The white men apparently wanted to be part of a media briefing held by the EFF.
Malema justified the confrontation, saying that the party’s office was not a place where they were afraid of white individuals and emphasised that it was a revolutionary house and a liberated zone in South Africa.
EFF members could be seen engaging in a scuffle with the white men, forcibly pushing them away from the building.
During the altercation, one of the men was struck multiple times

“Racists want to march into our offices. This is not a playground – it is a revolutionary house. Here it is not a place where we are scared of the white man. Here is the only liberated zone in South Africa. No white man comes taking chances here,” he said.
Malema had previously sparked controversy for chanting “kill the boer, kill the farmer” during a rally, but he claimed that it was not a song but a chant and that they had explained this in court.
He called on the party’s members to maintain the momentum gained from the anniversary celebrations and continue their efforts to help the marginalised and win the 2024 elections.
