Cape Town – Former president Jacob Zuma has cautioned politicians criticising the Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) Party to “zip it” before he exposes their true nature.
Zuma made these remarks during a meeting of the newly formed party in Verulam, north of Durban.
He emphasised the need for a focus on politics rather than insults and warned that uncomfortable truths about certain individuals would be revealed if the insults persist, Times Live reported.

Zuma recently declared his intention not to vote for the ANC in the upcoming election and pledged his support to the MK Party, citing a moral stance against the “current ANC” leadership.
The MK Party aims to liberate South Africans, particularly the oppressed black population, from what Zuma described as the tyranny of the current leadership.
“While many of us fought for freedom, it’s disheartening that some forget our ongoing oppression. We’re under a ruling party led by individuals behaving like thugs. I refrain from elaborating now, but during our campaign, we won’t resort to insults. Instead, we’ll aim to recruit members for the revolution.

“Our freedom remains incomplete, and unfortunately, some of our own people obstruct it. With five months until the elections, there’s time to present facts and engage in dialogue,” Zuma said.
The party has been registered with the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC), and its leaders assured attendees that it would be on the ballot paper in the upcoming election.
They also warned against opportunists creating fake branches and provincial leadership, emphasising the national scope of the party.
