Cape Town – As the nation anticipates President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Cabinet announcement, a similar delay is occurring in Gauteng.
Premier Panyaza Lesufi postponed his executive announcement, initially expected on Sunday.

Lesufi addressed speculation on social media, denying that Ramaphosa had directed him to include DA members in his Cabinet.

He explained that the delay was due to complex and difficult negotiations, as the ANC failed to secure a majority in Gauteng and needs other parties’ support to form a government.
There is still no clear timeline for Lesufi’s executive appointments.
