Cape Town – President of the ANC Youth League, Collen Malatji, has said that ANC members who do not embrace non-racialism should leave the party.
Malatji made these comments while speaking to SABC News amid coalition talks between the ANC and other political parties.
He criticised members opposing a coalition with the DA, emphasising the ANC’s commitment to a non-racial society.
“The ANC cannot move away from its non-racial character to accommodate some fallacy that there is some black uniting against white in South Africa we cannot do that,” said Malatji.

He suggested that those against non-racialism are misguided and need education.
“We will educate them most of them are young they are mobilised by people who want to influence a direction that is not there.
“But anyone who does not believe in the non-racial character of the ANC must leave the African National Congress,” he said.
He added: “The ANC stands for a non-racial society. The ANC would rather go out of power if it has to go out of its values and founding principles.”
Despite a reduced majority after the 2024 elections, Malatji insisted the ANC will not abandon its core values, even if it means losing power.
