Cape Town – The G20 foreign ministers’ summit in Johannesburg is set to address shifting global dynamics, with South Africa leading discussions on economic challenges, climate change, and equitable treatment for developing nations.
The US, under President Donald Trump, is pushing an isolationist agenda, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio absent and junior officials possibly representing the country.
“The US is not boycotting, but the American secretary of state said he himself was not coming.
“We look forward to engage with all the partners at the bilateral level, helping us to take stock of the changing or evolving global dynamics,” International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola said during an interview with Newzroom Afrika.
