Cape Town – Former EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has responded subtly on social media following critical remarks by EFF leader Julius Malema, who accused him of being driven by ego and failing as a leader.
Ndlozi avoided addressing Malema’s comments directly, instead congratulating the newly elected EFF leadership and wishing them strength and dignity in their roles.
“Congratulations to the newly elected leadership. We wish them strength and wisdom. Remember the duty to always conduct ourselves honestly and honourably in dealing with the EFF and the broader public.

“Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone! I wish you all economic freedom in our lifetime!,” he wrote on X.
Ndlozi has faced backlash after allegedly withholding knowledge of Floyd Shivambu’s departure to the MK Party, led by Jacob Zuma.
This incident reportedly led to his exclusion from the EFF’s third National People’s Assembly (NPA) and the Central Command Team (CCT).
Malema emphasised that only those present at the NPA should be considered leaders, further sidelining Ndlozi.
“There is no leader of the EFF who is not here in front. No leader of the EFF is not here in Nasrec.
“You chose your leadership you must defend your leadership both in public and in private,” he said.
He added: “Our leaders are here, you all know them, you nominated them for three hours. You cannot be leaving here and telling us about non-existing leaders.
“Anyone who is not elected by the province or by this conference is not a leader of the EFF.”
Despite the drama, Ndlozi expressed goodwill and optimism for the party’s future.
