Cape Town – President Cyril Ramaphosa will not meet with AfriForum and Solidarity, accusing them of deliberately spreading misinformation about South Africa, particularly regarding the Expropriation Act, presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya confirmed.
“In 2018, AfriForum engaged in an international tour in which they peddled lies about South Africa. They misrepresented our country and our laws and they did so deliberately. Prior to that tour, they didn’t seek an audience with the president.
“It’s not clear as to exactly why they are seeking an audience now. But I can tell you categorically, the president will not meet with them,” Magwenya said during an interview with SABC News.

He said that the government was still engaging with US officials to understand the reasoning behind Trump’s sanctions, despite the US being aware that no land expropriation without compensation was taking place.
I wonder what this meeting will be about. @Kalliekriel, did you seek a meeting with the President when you exported your lies to the US in 2018? You caused a great deal of damage that you must reflect on and account for, klaar! https://t.co/TVyZPf0a4n
