Cape Town – At a Friday press briefing, the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party announced that former Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane will serve as the party’s Mpumalanga convenor.
Also, the former KwaZulu-Natal Premier Willies Mchunu was announced as the convenor for KwaZulu-Natal as well.
Mkhwebane recently resigned from the EFF and just a few weeks after Mchunu resigned from ANC, News24 reported.

Mkhwebane joins a growing list of high-profile politicians who have left the EFF, such as Floyd Shivambu, Mzwanele Manyi, and others, to join the MKP.
For Mkhwebane MKP feels like ‘home’ as the principles of the party resonate with her deeply and calls for unity among progressive political parties.
“I am at home,” said Mkhwebane
“Let’s find a way to work together to change the status quo of the country,” she added.
