Cape Town — The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has appointed Dr Thanti Mthanti as the new Treasurer General of the party and Nhlamula Ndhlela as the full-time Party spokesperson.
In a statement, MK President, Jacob Zuma, announced that it consulted with National High Command to appoint Mthanti to his new position. Zuma said he has served the organisation diligently and executed different tasks since the party’s inception.
“At the time of this appointment, Dr Mthanti was serving as a member of the National High Command as Chairperson of the Communications sub-committee of the NHC. Mthanti will assume the roles and responsibilities of the Treasurer General as prescribed by the Constitution of the MK Party,” MK Party’s Magasela Mzobe said.

Zuma also announced the full-time appointment of Nhlamulo Ndhlela as the official National Spokesperson of the MK Party, taking a role in the party’s Top 8 and the NHC.
“This decision is to ensure the further strengthening of the Communication machinery of the Part and to shape its strategic direction. The President has confidence in Commander Ndhlela to continue to execute his responsibilities with the astuteness he continually demonstrates,” Mzobe said.
Zuma thanked the outgoing Menzi Ngubane for this selfless service to the MK Party and sent messages of congratulations to the two newly appointed Commanders.
