Cape Town – Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s position within the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) appears uncertain amid reports of his suspension from party activities and his absence from the EFF’s third National People’s Assembly (NPA).
Leader of the EFF Julius Malema dismissed questions about the absence Ndlozi at the NPA.
Malema ddressed the media on Saturday at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.
He rejected the idea of discussing Ndlozi’s absence, insisting it was not in the party’s interest.
“We are not going to answer the question on Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. You’ve got his number and some of you talk to him. Call him. I’m not responsible for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. Ninety percent of the people who are here, who are expected to be here, are here. That’s what matters.

“Whoever is not here, was not supposed to be here, from the beginning. So, you are not going to reduce this organisation to some individual. We are going to refuse that,” Malema said.
Ndlozi, once expected to contest for the position of deputy president, was excluded from the Central Command Team (CCT) and allegedly accused of betraying Malema and the party by failing to alert them about Floyd Shivambu’s departure from the EFF, The Citizen reported.
On Sunday, Malema directed delegates at the NPA to recognise only those elected at the conference as leaders.

“There is no leader of the EFF who is not here in front. No leader of the EFF is not here in Nasrec.
“You chose your leadership you must defend your leadership both in public and in private,” he said.
He added: “Our leaders are here, you all know them, you nominated them for three hours. You cannot be leaving here and telling us about non-existing leaders.
“Anyone who is not elected by the province or by this conference is not a leader of the EFF.”
