Cape Town – Former president Jacob Zuma’s son and controversial businessman Duduzane Zuma has reportedly admitted that he is new to the world of politics but believes that he has “something to offer” and that he might have what South Africa needs.
According to The Citizen, Duduzane said this during an interview with Power98.7.
“I feel like I have something to offer.
“It is just taking politics from an old man and woman’s game and changing it to a young man and woman’s game,” Duduzane was quoted as saying.
He said he wanted to help South Africa move forward.
“I don’t want to be that guy that has an opportunity to make a difference and doesn’t take it,” he said.

He also spoke about the allegations of infighting and corruption within the ruling African National Congress (ANC), saying that although he believed in the party’s policies, there was need for fresher and younger faces, a report by The South African said.
“It is less of a dream but more of conversations. I think over a period of time we all have these conversations on how we all get involved in making a difference. I have been a businessman my whole life, an entrepreneur, and politics is very new to me. Yes I’ve followed it, I have understood it and was a part of it,” Duduzane said.
In August, Duduzane said he was allowed to “dream big” and was, therefore, set to put his name in the hat to run for ANC presidency in December 2022 and in national general elections in 2024, according to Times Live.

He said at the time that his political plan was not to compete with anyone.
“When it comes to competition, I’m not looking at anybody else. I’m not here to compete. I am here to do something different.
“If you’re saying I’m competing against someone it means we walk on the same path. I’m walking a completely different path. We’re going to do things differently and there’s no-one in that lane. That’s a lane I’m creating because I believe that’s the only way we’re going to overturn and overhaul the situation through the ANC,” the report quoted Duduzane as saying at the time.
