Cape Town – Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi postponed the announcement of the new provincial executive, signaling further complications in forming the government of national unity (GNU).
The announcement was scheduled for Sunday but was halted by a brief call with no explanation, according to provincial government spokesperson Sizwe Pamla, News24 reported.
The postponement was announced on social media.

The delay occurs amid reported disagreements between the ANC and DA over cabinet positions.
Lesufi, in office for a week, has not yet named his executive council.
