Cape Town — Former uMkohnto weSizwe (MK) Party leader, Jabulani Khumalo, claimed he never resigned from the party, and believes he was unlawfully booted from the party.
Khumalo was expelled from the party last week, and has been involved in a back-and-forth with the former president as the party prepares for its first elections. Khumalo then wrote a letter to the IEC, requesting that Zuma be removed from his position as president and face of the MK Party.

In the affidavit – Khumalo states that he wrote to the IEC twice regarding Zuma’s candidature and for the former president’s face to appear alongside the party on the ballot.
He also accused Duduzile Zuma of forging his signature and sending communication on documents with fake letterheads and said it made no sense that he would have ben expelled from the party if he had submitted a resignation letter.
Mr Jabulani Khumalo said:
“We agreed that President Zuma will be our MK President, we’ve never had a different decision.
That’s why on a Friday, I wrote a letter to the IEC that President Zuma will be the one on the ballot for MK.
On Saturday, The IEC said they do not believe… pic.twitter.com/10yXmrr1nq
