Cape Town – The Electoral Court has reportedly imposed suspended fines of R150,000 each on Visvin Reddy and Bonginkosi Khanyile, senior members of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, for making inflammatory remarks.
The court has imposed sanctions on Reddy, a recently sworn-in member of Parliament, and Khanyile, former leader of the MK Youth League.
According to EWN, Reddy predicted riots if MK lost a legal case against the ANC, while Khanyile suggested elections might be disrupted if party leader and former South African presdient Jacob Zuma was excluded from candidacy.
