Cape Town – EFF MP Sinawo Tambo has called on fellow MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi to publicly address speculation about his position in the party amid reports of his exclusion from the EFF’s upcoming elective conference.
The December event will elect new leadership, with Ndlozi reportedly considered a potential candidate for deputy president, a role left vacant by Floyd Shivambu’s departure to the MK Party.
According to Times Live, allegations suggest Ndlozi’s exclusion may have been orchestrated by supporters of rival candidate Godrich Gardee. Questions about Ndlozi’s loyalty have also surfaced, with some speculating he could leave the EFF to join Shivambu, the report said.
Tambo criticised Ndlozi’s silence, warning that it could harm the party’s image.
“Our organisation cannot be dragged through the mud daily in your name and you keep quiet as if you have no capacity to talk. Silence at times becomes complicity. I love him [Ndlozi], but I love the EFF more,” he said on X.
Ndlozi has retweeted posts affirming his loyalty to the EFF but has yet to make a direct statement.
The party has neither confirmed nor denied the allegations.
