Mphahlele was the EFF’s deputy secretary in Johannesburg and a city councillor.
Here are some reactions on social media following his death:
My brother, Moshe Mphahlele, popularly known as Fearless Radical Commissar (FRC), and Acting Regional Secretary of JHB, is no more. You have ran your part, and you have ultimately given the Organisation great power in Alexandra.
Rest in Peace Mokgaga 🤐💔😓 pic.twitter.com/V3I8iJFThI

I’m shocked that the EFF secretary of Joburg Moshe Mphahlele passed away. What is going on in this organization? I’m scared of politics now. pic.twitter.com/IeFxdO6ttg
