Cape Town – The EFF says it has accepted an apology from a manager of an estate in Centurion, who allegedly removed the party’s 10th anniversary posters from the complex.
The EFF Tshwane region said that the Stone Ridge Estate manager removed the posters despite them being placed legally.
The party’s regional leader, Obakeng Ramabodu, criticised the action, saying that it silences the voices of EFF supporters and reflects the pervasive racism in South Africa.
“…His actions are unacceptable and go against the values of our democracy…
“By removing the posters, he is attempting to silence the voices of those who support the EFF and its message. This is a form of discrimination that is all too common in South Africa, where racism is deeply ingrained in the social fabric,” said EFF regional leader Obakeng Ramabodu.
The EFF said the manager has since apologised to the party leadership and committed to reinstalling the posters.
