Cape Town – President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced South Africa’s new deputy president Paul Mashatile and a roster of ministers and deputy ministers who are set to be sworn into office soon.
Ramaphosa unveiled his new Cabinet during a public address on Sunday.
He emphasised the selection process aimed at ensuring effectiveness, capability, and integrity in the national executive for the next five years.
The appointments reflect diversity in gender, youth representation, demographics, and regional distribution, aiming to represent the views of all South Africans.
Similar to the president’s inauguration on June 19th, the new Cabinet ministers and deputies are anticipated to affirm their oath of office during the swearing-in ceremony.
Chief Justice Raymond Zondo or another judge appointed by him is expected to officiate the ceremony.
