Cape Town — Minister of Tourism and the leader of the GOOD Party, Patricia De Lille, will be hard at work ahead of the elections as the GOOD Party prepares to host its election manifesto in Rivonia, Johannesburg today.
The party secured two seats in the National Assembly in 2019, and, despite hoards of support from the Western cape, will be hoping to expand their political footprint, SABC News reported.
“I have been deeply encouraged by the response and the support that this message of GOOD has prompted in our country. As I said, I want good South Africans, men and women, young and experienced of races to step forward to lead our country.” De Lille said.
The party has made transparent leadership and accountability among its key principles and says it hopes to combat corruption if elected into power.
“The money is not being spent well. Corruption steals from poor people. That money we can use for the basic income grant,” says De Lille.

The Good Party released a statement saying De Lille, has been announced as hte party’s premider candidate for the Western Cape. De Lille or “Aunty Pat” offered voters a “tried and tested” voting option as an experienced leader who can eradicate the suffering of those in the province.
“With De Lille, voters can rest assured that she will not stop fighting until the work is done. Aunty Pat is the kind of leader that voters deserve to have in their corner. Her fight for a fairer South Africa started long before 1994 and it will continue long after 2024,” the party said.
De Lille brings a wealth of experience along with her as she’s the only premier candidate with experience at all three levels of government.
The GOOD Party said De Lille had the authority to get plans implemented swiftly.
“De Lille is the only woman to lead a politically represented party and is the only woman leader to have started two political parties which won seats in national, provincial and local government.”
