Cape Town – Democratic Alliance (DA) leader John Steenhuisen has concluded his party’s election campaign in the Northern Cape, expressing hopes of governing the province post-elections.
According to SABC, he said that the DA would consider forming a coalition if the ANC does not secure a majority.
It is wonderful to be back in the Northern Cape on this historic day, because in just one week from today, we will be on the eve of the most profound breakthrough in the history of the DA. The DA is ready to rescue the Northern Cape. Rescue SA, Vote DA. pic.twitter.com/Q8mnBgm1ED

Steenhuisen highlighted rural safety issues and promoted drone technology as a solution for policing, stock theft, and farm attacks.
“Drone technology is now a game changer for policing in rural areas. It’s a game changer for dealing with stock theft and farm attacks. You can get the drone in the air and it would be tacking the suspects and I think we need to embrace this new technology. But it’s going to require a change in government and a change in approach from national and provincial level,” the report quoted him as saying.
