Cape Town – The ruling African National Congress (ANC) has re-elected Cyril Ramaphosa as president at the party’s 55th National Elective Conference at the Nasrec Expo Centre.
Ramaphosa garnered 2 476 votes for the post of party president against 1 897 for former health minister Zweli Mkhize, the African National Congress’ elections chief, Kgalema Motlanthe, announced.

More than 4 300 delegates, gathered at a conference near Johannesburg, cast their ballots on Sunday to appoint top officials, including party president, deputy president, chair and secretary general.
Here is the party’s top seven
President – Cyril Ramaphosa
Deputy President – Paul Mashatile with 2 178 votes
National Chairperson – Gwede Mantashe with 2 062 votes
Secretary General – Fikile Mbalula with 1 692 votes
Deputy Secretary General – Nomvula Mokonyane with 2 145 votes
Second Deputy Secretary General – Maropene Ramokgopa with 2 373
