Cape Town — ANC secretary-general, Fikile Mbalula, believes the ANC has delivered on 90% of the goals and promises they made during their election campaign in 2019.
As the ANC gears up to release their political manifesto ahead of the 2024 general elections, he spoke about the outcomes from the party’s NEC meeting that took place the past weekend.
According to EWN, Mbalula reiterated that the party was prepared for this year’s elections, and would continue to serve South Africans without corruption.
In 2019, the party made a long list of promises, among them was plans to rid the country of loadshedding, reduce unemployment, and improve the overall quality of life for all South Africans, with Mbalula saying 90% of those promises have been met.

During Mbalula’s briefing, he spoke about the 2023 NSC matric results, the sale of Mandela’s prized artifacts, the candidate selection process, addressing Zuma’s counter-revolution and suspension, the ongoing troubles at NSFAS, international affairs including the ICJ ruling, basic service delivery, economic transofrmation, loadshedding and energy security, as well public employment.
The ANC is gearing up for the State of the Nation (SONA) address and releasing their political manifesto as they prepare for a diffucult election campaign.
