Cape Town – ANC Gauteng Chairperson Panyaza Lesufi has stressed the importance of maintaining ties with religious groups ahead of the upcoming elections.
Lesufi, accompanied by provincial leadership, attended a service at an Anglican Church in Kagiso on Sunday.
According to EWN, he highlighted the historical significance of the ANC’s relationship with religious organisations, emphasising the need to communicate the party’s messages effectively to these communities.

“The ANC was born in a church and the ANC is an institution that embraces all religious beliefs. So the importance of this is to ensure that we remain in touch with those that we can communicate with, send our messages so that they can understand our presence,” the report quoted Lesufi as saying.
