Cape Town – AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s criticism of South Africa regarding EFF leader Julius Malema’s chant of “Kill the Boer”.
Trump’s remarks followed a post by Elon Musk, who alleged that a major political party in South Africa was promoting white genocide.
Kriel thanked Trump for acknowledging what he described as “irresponsible calls for violence against Afrikaners/whites” and criticised the South African government’s silence on the issue.
Trump later amplified Musk’s concerns by sharing a screenshot of the post on his own platform, Truth Social.
The US leader’s involvement was met with approval from Kriel, who expressed gratitude for his support.
“Thank you, President @realDonaldTrump for taking note of the irresponsible calls for violence against Afrikaners/whites—through hate chants such as “Kill the Boer, kill the farmer”—in South Africa. The tragic irony is that the latest incident occurred on March 21, which is officially known as “Human Rights Day” in South Africa,” he wrote.
