Cape Town — ActionSA has revealed it is aware of the the unlikeliness that the party will win an outright majority in the general elections, with the party taking a more realistic approach.
The party will contend its first national and provincial elections since its establishment in August 2020.
ActionSA president, Herman Mashaba, said he did not give up 40 years of business in exchange for politics, only to be a backbencher in parliament, EWN wrote.
“I want South Africans to give us outright majority but is it realistic? One has to be honest. It is for that reason ActionSA has committed to the Multi-Party Charter in the event we don’t get outright majority,” Mashaba said.
He said the party would present its political manifesto in March that would contain practical solutions to get the country working again.

The party announced its new three candidates who will stand for Premier in Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape and the Free State. They are former ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) Mpumalanga chairperson, Thoko Mashiane (Mpumalanga), former Democratic Alliance (DA) Eastern Cape provincial chairperson, Athol Trollip (Eastern Cape), and former DA Shadow Minister, Patricia Kopane (Free State).
ActionSA postponed the announcement of their Western Cape Premier candidate, choosing instead to do so alongside their Gauteng Premier Candidate. The party already announced its candidates for KZN, North West, Limpopo, and Northern Cape.
