According to The Citizen, Zuma last addressed the party in August and since then, it has undergone many personnel changes. The party has welcomed several big names including Colleen Makhubele from the South African Rainbow Alliance (Sara), Bongani Baloyi from the Xiluva Party and Andile Mgxithama’s Black First Land First.
While the biggest coup for the party was undoubtedly former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Deputy president, Floyd Shivambu.
The MK Party has also welcomed the dismissal of Jabulani Khumalo latest bid to recognise him as the legitimate leader of the party. Khumalo’s latest setback followed several court cases challenging Zuma’s role as the face and leader of the MK party.
The former MK party leader sought to overturn an earlier judgment of the Electoral Court that dismissed his application against the IEC for his removal as party leader.
