Cape Town – The Jacob Zuma Foundation has announced that former South African President Jacob Zuma will not be giving interviews after losing two appeals this week.
He suffered defeats in his private prosecutions against President Cyril Ramaphosa, lead prosecutor Billy Downer in his arms deal corruption case, and journalist Karyn Maughan.
The Foundation’s spokesperson stated that Zuma would not be participating in media interviews on any topic.
“Please be advised the Patron of the Foundation, H.E President Zuma will not be doing any media interviews on any matter under the sun,” the foundation said.

In one case, Zuma appealed an order that declared the setting aside of his private prosecution against Downer and Maughan as immediately enforceable.
The judge ruled against him, stating that his appeal lacked merit and upheld the original judgment.
In another case, Zuma’s application to appeal his private prosecution of Ramaphosa was dismissed, with costs, by the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.
Zuma had initiated private prosecutions against Ramaphosa on the eve of the African National Congress’ national elective conference. It remains uncertain what Zuma’s next actions will be following these two legal setbacks.
