Cape Town – Zimbabwean former local government minister and Zanu-PF legislator Christopher Chingosho was reportedly arrested over the weekend after calling the country’s First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa a prostitute.
According to News Day, the MP insulted the first lady after he was not invited to an event in his constituency.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s wife was in Rusape in Chief Makoni’s compound, promoting her Nharire yeMusha programme which sought to empower parents and guardians. She also led a cook out competition for women, the report said.
Soon after she left, Chingosho reportedly went to the compound and questioned why he had not been invited.
