Cape Town – The “world’s oldest person” Johanna Mazibuko is set to be buried on Saturday in her Jouberton, North West Province, home on March 3.
Mazibuko was aged 128.
She was born on May 11, 1894 and lived through three centuries.

Her caregiver and daughter-in-law Thandiwe Wesinyana said Mazibuko may have died from a stroke, according to News24.
Mazibuko lived through two world wars, the Spanish flu, Y2K and Covid-19.
According to Times Live, she told Newzroom Afrika las year that her body was stiff, she couldn’t walk and prayed daily for her life to end. She said she never consumed alcohol and attributed her health and long life to traditional Tswana food.
