Cape Town – Police in Bela Bela, Limpopo, are investigating a rape case after a 38-year-old woman was attacked on Sunday.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the victim and her boyfriend encountered four unknown men while walking, leading to a physical altercation between the suspects and the boyfriend.
One of the suspects reportedly produced a knife, pressed it against the woman’s throat, and forcibly took her to a secluded area where she was raped.
“He forcefully undressed the victim, raped her and released her,” said Ledwaba.
The police have opened a case and are seeking information to apprehend the suspects.
