Cape Town – An 87-year-old woman, who was last seen going to church over a year ago, is among six people who were reported missing at the Sun City police station in the North West on Thursday.
Christina Mayola from Skama section in Phatsima was last seen going to church on March 14, 2021, police said in a statement.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh, Mayola was last seen wearing a blue khiba (traditional dress), a black jacket and pink takkies.
She has short grey hair with a particularly large nose and flat ears, said Myburgh.
In another case, the police request the community to assist them in locating Gopolang Gibson Mafo, 24 of River side, Mahobieskraal, near Sun City.
Mafo is mentally disabled and was last seen leaving a tuck shop close to his home on Friday, 23 September 2022, at about 19:00, police said.
“During his disappearance, he was wearing a blue overall trousers with reflectors, black and white Nike shoes and a black baseball jacket. He has short hair and has a speech impairment (he lisps). He also likes to sing, whilst walking and write down all his favourite songs,” said Myburgh.
