“We noted that, for a number of days, that the people of Verulam, Othongathi and Phoenix, had water interruptions and they couldn’t get water. Of course, we always insist that water service authorities must bear in mind that water supply to residents is a very sensitive and very emotional issue. Immediately, they don’t get water, there is anger, there is frustration, which is understandable”
“However, when we heard about this problem, from residents themselves, from councillors. They made us aware they are working on the matter to get a turnaroudn as quick as possible. We encourager them to do so. We also spoke to technical teams, engineers, so they can combine their efforts and skills so that they can resolve their matters as soon as possible,” Mchunu added.
