Cape Town – A video showing an intoxicated woman causing a disturbance aboard a FlySafair flight from Durban to Cape Town has gone viral.
The woman, reportedly requesting more alcohol, became aggressive when denied, throwing a tantrum and making racist slurs towards the crew.
She also physically confronted staff, throwing a drink at one flight attendant and pushing another.

During the altercation, she claimed, “You don’t know who my father is.”
The women, identified as an SABC staff member, allegedly threatened to have the airline staff dismissed and claimed the incident would be aired on SABC news channels.
The SABC expressed regret over the incident.
“The SABC regrets this incident, and always encourages staff members to uphold the SABC values of respect and integrity in all their interactions. In the video clip this staff member mentions the SABC and states that this incident will be broadcast on SABC News.

The SABC will use the relevant channels in line with its internal procedures to engage the staff member,” the SABC said in a statement.
