Cape Town – Police have reportedly arrested a man in connection with the violent shooting of his alleged friend at a petrol station in Thokoza, Ekurhuleni.
Reports indicated that the suspect shot the victim three times before taking his vehicle and later sold the gun at a hostel.
A video of the incident alleged to have happened last week went viral on social media.
In the video, the two men can be seen talking while one of them is holding a firearm.
Seconds later, the shooter is seen pointing the firearm at the other man.
The two men fight for the gun. The man holding the gun shoots at the victim and he falls to the grown before the shooter walks away.
However, he turns back to the victim lying on the ground and appears to kick and fire more shots at the victim before searching the victim’s pockets.
